I am not using hormonal contraception
Please test on day 3 of your cycle. Levels of hormones vary depending on the phase of the menstrual cycle. Cycling hormones including Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), Luteinising hormone (LH) and Oestradiol are at their baseline on day 3 and testing on this day provides accurate results, if you need help working out which day is day 3, please get in touch with the customer care team.
I am using hormonal contraception
You can test on any day of your cycle. This is because we don’t test your cycling hormones (FSH, LH and Oestradiol) as these hormones are affected by your contraception.
Please note: If you are on hormonal contraception, we will not be able to test your cycling hormones (FSH, LH and Oestradiol) as these are affected by the synthetic hormones in the contraception and would not provide a true representation of your natural hormone levels. Additionally, there is some evidence that AMH levels may also be affected while using hormonal contraception. If you’d like to test your cycling hormones, we would advise testing 3 months after coming off hormonal contraception.
My bleed only lasts for 2 days:
If your bleeding has stopped after two days, please still test on the third day, as testing depends on your cycle days, not on the actual flow.
My cycles are shorter than 21 days:
Please test on Day 2 of your cycle instead. Please contact our Customer Care team and let us know if you have collected on day 2, so we can make a note of this on your file.
My cycles are irregular:
If your cycles are irregular but less than 45 days long, please test on day 3 of your cycle. If your cycles are irregular and over 45 days long and you do not want to wait for day 3 of your cycle, please test on any day after day 45. We understand it can be difficult to identify what’s causing your irregularities and this means we can help to gain some insight for you sooner.
I don’t have periods:
Please test on any day.
