I don't want to prick myself. Can I get my blood taken by a professional?

We understand that the idea of collecting your own blood sample can be a little daunting for some people. This is why we offer a Nurse Home Visit service where a healthcare professional trained in phlebotomy can come to your home or a convenient location, and collect a sample from the vein in the crook of your arm, much like when you go to the Doctor. This service is available to book through your Health Hub for £79 (UK) or €99 (Ireland).

For UK appointments equipment is brought out with the healthcare professional so we will not send a kit out to you. For Irish appointments you will be sent a professional blood sample collection kit. Please do not open or use the kit, this is for your nurse to use at your appointment.

Please note, we can only accept venous blood samples from Hertility accredited healthcare professionals to comply with our strict laboratory testing protocols. Venous samples taken by anyone else will be rejected by our lab and you will be asked to complete another sample.
